Crumb Cake Floral

In class we recently used white chalk pen and white gel pen to highlight our stamped images.
The cards are in crumb cake with early espresso ink.

I found the colouring very quick and quite therapeutic!

Stampin Creative Blog Hop - Lovely Layout

Welcome to this month's blog hop! If you've hopped over from Kim then she sure is a hard act to follow! So, I'll begin first with an apology - not the best way to start a blog post, that's for sure!
I had so many plans for this month's hop, which is to follow a layout, all for them to be scuppered one way or another. The final straw was having returned from holiday to have emergency dental work this evening which has left me without time to do much more than present one project to you. Oh, for best laid plans!
Our remit was to follow or interpret Pip's layout which you can see here.
As I say, I wanted to do several projects  but have just one to share with you.
The subject is taken from the photo booth photos we had taken whilst at Convention in Manchester 2013. The prints themselves aren't perfect, but the layout has recorded some of the fun moments we had playing with the props.
The title is from the photo booth photos. DSP is from this year's Sale-a-bration, as is the glimmer washi tape.
A very simple page. Despite being unable to include all the photos I had (this will call for another page), those chosen show just how daft we were that evening....and no alcohol in sight!
Do feel free to comment to say what you do, and what you don't like, about my project.
Now it's time for you to hop over to Eimear who, I'm sure, will have something to inspire you! Just click on the link below.

If want to hop back to Kim then just click on her name at the top of this post, if you've lost your way you will find a list of participating blogs below.

Happy Easter! Thank you for stopping by!

    Anniversary CASE

Last month one of our team, Cary Buckham made a card with that favourite set of mine, Going Global. I just had to CASE it as it was a perfect anniversary card and not too girly in smoky slate and crushed curry.
The DSP is from the Saleabration pack that was available from January until mid February. Both the grey and yellow are from the same pack.
If you like this card, you can see more creations on the blog Cary & Gill share here.

    #imbringingbirthdaysback

Sharing with you a couple of cards sent out recently as part of the #imbringingbirthdaysback campaign.

Shame I managed to chop off the top of this card in the photo!
This month in our 'Just for Fun' classes we used chalk and gel pen to highlight some stamping. This card uses the same idea but is in pink.
I've some more of these chalk and gel pen cards to share with you in another post. Do pop back!

    Going Global

Stopping by today to share the cards we made in our Going Global class in January. Can't believe I haven't posted them before.

I absolutely love this stamp set and DSP since I first set eyes on them. Hope you like them too!

    Woodgrain

In the 'Just for Fun' class at the beginning of March we made a tiny desk calendar which I'd spotted. The original was by Dee Slater and was, in my opinion, prettier than the one that we made. However, I'd tasked myself with doing a project with my least favourite sheet in a pack of DSP.
    Here is what we made.

I shouldn't have worried. The ladies said they loved it...even the colours!
To further use the Woodgrain stamp we also made 3 cards. Now, I have to warn you that I've since got ink all over this next one,so it's looking a tad tatty!
Having said that, this is also a dreadful photo and it does look so much nicer IRL. In shades of smoky slate and blushing bride.

Next we made a replica but slightly more man'ish.
Our final card is probably my favourite of the evening, despite me having chopped the bottom of it off in this photo!
The card itself is in crumb cake and whisper white, so not as yellow as it appears here!

    Casing the Catalogue

I love that Stampin' Up! give us so many ideas in our catalogues. At the launch of the spring summer edition I CASED some of the cards in it. It's nice to see the cards up close, real size as opposed to the photo in the catalogue.
    Here are a couple..
I particularly like the colours on this one...
I have more catalogue CASED cards to share with you but that will wait for another day as I've yet to photograph them!

    Happy Mail

Recently received some happy mail and want to share it with you.
This is a card from my upline, Natalie.
Love the clean, simple lines of this card and the attention to detail with the paper piercing and raised flower.
